Free BBQ lunches offered at Trenholm Plaza today

Free, hot barbecue meals will be served in the Trenholm Plaza parking lot at the corner of Trenholm Road and Forest Drive, today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The area surrounding Trenholm Plaza was one of the hardest hit by this week’s flooding.

Bill Ellis’ Barbecue of Wilson, N.C., will have an 18-wheel catering truck set up, serving take-out meals of barbecue, fried chicken and sides. Meals will be offered until they run out.

First Citizens Bank is providing the meals.
