SCDOT contractors continuing flood debris removal Wednesday, Thursday

South Carolina Department of Transportation contractors will continue to pick up flood-damaged debris left outside of homes in three counties Wednesday and Thursday.

Officials said debris pick-ups will continue in Dorchester County, within the Tranquil Estates neighborhood and the Summerwood Subdivision; Lexington County, within the Pine Glen and Coldstream neighborhoods; Sumter County throughout the city of Sumter and Richland County, within the Forest Acres area and also along Timberlane Drive and Glenhaven Drive in the Gills Creek area.

Property owners are reminded to separate debris into the categories such as electronics, large appliances, hazardous waste, vegetative debris, construction debris and household garbage.
