‘Active shooter’ training to be held at Shaw Air Force Base

Shaw Air Force Base officials announced that the base will be undergoing “active shooter” training throughout the day on Friday.

Officials said the training will occur on the western sector of the base at the main intersection of Blue Jay Street and Egret Street.

Residents near the base can expect to see emergency vehicles and response aircraft in the area throughout the day, officials said.
