A blur of Korean culture
From demonstrations by Yim’s Tiger Tae Kwon Do Academy, to newer fads, such as the dance moves of K-pop, or Korean Pop, Columbia’s Korean festival was a blur of color, sights and sounds.
The food, too, brought Korea to Columbia and the Midlands’ 4,000-strong Korean-American community.
Festivalgoers enjoyed Korean pancakes, kimchee, marinated ribs and steak, dumplings and more.
The Korean Community Presbyterian Church hosted the event, which raises money for a dozen or so charities, including Harvest Hope Food Bank and the Oliver Gospel Mission.
