Columbia experiencing sewer overflow into Crane Creek

The City of Columbia Wastewater Maintenance Division issued a sanitary sewer system overflow notification Monday night.

There’s sewer overflow that’s affecting customers near the crossing of Brickyard Road at I-20, Wastewater Compliance Manager Stephen Sealey said in a release, adding that extended periods of rain caused the overflow into Crane Creek.
