Morgan Lowers dropped on national TV and her college bills at Winthrop University just dropped, too - by a whopping $25,000.

The freshman softball player was awarded the $25,000 by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” after she was one of the show’s top fans to appear. Lowers, 18, a mass communications and broadcasting major from Suffolk, Va., was picked for the contest and then won the show’s Know or Go game.

Lowers made the Ellen show after filling out a student questionnaire before the school year in which she said she wanted to be a TV host one day, and admired both DeGeneres’ style and giving nature.

“She is exactly who I could see myself as in the future,” Lowers said in statement. “I want to have a talk show just like her so I can make people happy and help others that are in need. The way she puts smiles on her fans faces and helps others in need is exactly what I want to do in my future.”

Lowers won the game among two other college girls who are fans, yet DeGneres awarded all three checks for $25,000

The show will air today at 5 p.m. on WCCB, Comporium Channel 111.
