Two men charged with murder in shooting of CCU student from Blythewood

Conway police charged two men with murder Friday in connection with a shooting that left a Coastal Carolina University student dead.

Jordan Principe, 17, and Alfred Dunkin, 20, both of Conway, are charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.

Craig Gerard Gray, Jr., a sophomore computer science major from Blythewood, was shot at University Suites apartment complex Wednesday night.

Authorities did not address possible motives or give any additional details about the killing.

Police were called to the University Suites complex on Technology Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Wednesday to find Gray had been shot, according to police.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said Gray was pronounced dead at the scene.

Principe and Dunkin remain jailed awaiting bond, according to Lt. Selena Small with the Conway police.
