Portions of Riverwalk Park reopened after recent flooding

The city of West Columbia announced Friday afternoon that portions of Riverwalk Park and the amphitheater have reopened to the public.

Flooding on the Congaree River earlier in the week prompted restricting access to the amphitheater and nearby walkways.

City officials remind visitors not to go into areas of the park still marked as closed.
