Newberry store sells the state’s first $1,000 a day for life lottery ticket

NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC South Carolina Education Lottery officials said they have sold their first $1,000 a day for life winning ticket in Newberry.

The winning ticket matches the Luck for Life numbers for Thursday night’s draw 7, 14, 21, 32 and 33. The Lucky Ball was 14.

The winner beat the 1 in 30,821,472 odds by buying the ticket.

“This is the first top prize won in the Lucky for Life game here in South Carolina,” said Paula Harper Bethea, Executive Director of the South Carolina Education Lottery. “We’ve been waiting patiently for almost a year for this moment and are thrilled for the winner, the retailer that sold the ticket and for the state of South Carolina.”

The Newberry retail location will soon be released.
