UPDATE: Boil water advisory repealed for Columbia Equestrian Center

The City of Columbia Water Works said water customers between the intersections of Columbia Club Drive East/Old Course Way and Cart Way on Longtown Road East, including the Windermere Club and the Long Creek Equestrian Center, located in Richland County, they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

A broken 10-inch water main prompted a boil water advisory, which was followed by intense flushing of the distribution system and the water is safe.

Questions concerning healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities should be directed to the SC DHEC Division of Health Licensing at 545- 4370.

The City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center, 545-3300, may answer other inquiries concerning this Advisory.
