Lights Before Christmas at Riverbanks Zoo closed Wednesday evening after a City of Columbia water main broke.

The zoo reported in a news release that the city is working to restore the system Wednesday evening, but no further details were provided.

Lights Before Christmas was already scheduled to be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The zoo had not said by Thursday afternoon whether Lights Before Christmas would reopen Friday.
