Boil water advisory repealed for Longcreek Drive customers

A boil water advisory issued for the water customers near Longcreek Drive has been repealed by the City of Columbia Water Works Monday.

Officials said water customers in the 1600 block of Longcreek Drive, including The Park, Ashton and Waterford apartment complexes, no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

Following an intense flushing of the water distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and indicated the system is safe to use.
