Lexington County deputies searching for burglary suspect

Lexington County investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a burglary suspect that stole several tools from a Lexington home.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department officials said the suspect, described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 35, entered a shed at a residence located in the 100 block of Thatckery Lane, near Jessamine Road, on Nov. 26 at about 5:30 p.m.

Officials said the suspect was recorded on a home security system taking several tools from the shed and placing them in a bag. Officials believe the suspect was driving a dark moped to and from the crime scene, and he was last scene driving the moped on Jessamine Road towards Augusta Road.

Officials describe the suspect as having brown hair, clean shaven and wearing a gray, long-sleeved shirt, lights pants and white tennis shoes.
