Columbia police have charged a woman who allegedly pointed a firearm at another woman’s head when she got out to talk to the suspect about hitting her car with a shopping cart.

Columbia police officials said 25-year-old Taylor King has been charged with pointing and presenting a firearm in connection with the incident.

Officials said the incident occurred sometime last week in the 5400 block of Forest Drive. King allegedly hit the victim’s side-view mirror with a shopping cart and when the victim got out of the vehicle to speak with King, she pointed a firearm at the victim’s head.

Officials said King then fled the area before law enforcement could arrive, and the victim was not physically injured.

King was recently located by the Columbia Police Department’s fugitive team, with the assistance of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
