Arrested made in alleged murder on Head St.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder.
David Clark was arrested Dec. 5 at the Richland County Sheriff’s Office headquarters, according to a news release. He is accused of shooting a 59-year-old man in the upper body in an incident just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 3, at 1439 Head St.
Deputies were called to the scene and found the victim unresponsive on the ground. He was pronounced dead when EMS arrived.
Deputies found Clark nearby, according to a news release. He appeared to have been in an altercation. After questioning witnesses, Richland County Sheriff’s investigators determined Clark was involved in an altercation with the victim, and that he pulled out a gun and shot him.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Clark was also arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to serve weekend service. Clark has been transported to the Alvin S. GlennDetention Center.
