VC Summer Nuclear Site will test sirens Thursday

Officials with the VC Summer Nuclear Site said they will be testing the site’s sirens Thursday afternoon.

Officials said sirens in the ten-mile zone will be tested between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each siren will be tested for three minutes at a time, some will be tested more than once.

The sirens are only being tested and no precautionary measures are needed, officials said.
