Boil-water advisory for portion of Belfair Oaks repealed
The City of Columbia has lifted a boil-water advisory for the 300 block of Amberwood Circle in Belfair Oaks subdivision. Customers there no longer need to boil their water before drinking or cooking, according to a news release.
Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the City of Columbia Water Works. Results indicated the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking, the release said.
