Deputies searching for suspects who robbed victim at gunpoint

Richland County deputies are requesting the community’s assistance in gaining more information regarding an armed robbery that occurred on Christmas Eve.

Lt. Curtis Wilson, a sheriff’s department spokesman, deputies responded to a residence in the 500 block of Paces Court, off Parklane Road, at 9:30 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

Wilson said the victim was approached by three black male suspects as he was entering his apartments in the Paces Run apartment complex. The suspects forced the victim into his apartment, Wilson said, and began to ransack his apartment.

The victim reported that one of the suspects held him at gunpoint and demanded money, Wilson said. The victim gave the suspects money, and they fled the area in an unknown direction.

Wilson said the victim had injury to his face, but he refused Emergency Medical Services’ offer for treatment.

Anyone who has information regarding this incident is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
