Boil water advisory issued for large number of West Columbia water customers

The city of West Columbia issued a boil water advisory covering all addresses on several roads and an entire subdivision Wednesday night. Water customers in the advisory area should vigorously boil any water used for drinking, making ice or food preparation for at least 60 seconds before use.

The advisory overs the following addresses:

• All addresses in the 400, 500, and 600 Blocks of Old Barnwell Road
• All addresses on Lynn Drive
• All addresses on Bel-Air Drive
• All addresses in the Savannah Woods Subdivision

Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on the boil water advisory.
