Man accused of robbing victim at knifepoint after argument Friday night

A man was robbed at knifepoint outside a store on Two Notch Road after an argument Friday night.

The suspect, 47-year-old Lawrence Graham, is accused of pointing a knife at a male victim and stealing his Droid Max cellphone, valued at $650, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The alleged robbery occurred just after 9 p.m. Friday at the S-Mart at 8404 Two Notch Road. The incident began with a verbal altercation inside the store, deputies say.

Once the victim walked out of the store, Graham followed and knocked him to the ground, robbing him at knifepoint, according to deputies. Graham then returned to the scene a short time later with the stolen phone in his possession, deputies say.

Graham is charged with larceny and was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. The investigation continues, and additional charges are possible.
