Motorcycle crash leads to murder investigation in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC Richland County detectives are investigating a homicide after responders discovered a gunshot wound on a crash victim early Sunday morning.

A driver traveling past Long Green Parkway at Churchland Drive reported a motorcycle that appeared to have crashed into the nearby treeline just before 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a media release. When responders with the S.C. Highway Patrol and Richland County Coroner’s Office arrived, they found a gunshot wound on the victim’s upper body.
