Orangeburg County deputies have identified the man they say shot a woman during a domestic-related dispute in Holly Hill Thursday.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said 27-year-old Darrien Weeks, of Holly Hill, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and grand larceny in connection with the shooting.

Weeks will appear for a bond hearing tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Ravenell said.

Ravenell said the shooting happened just before 8 a.m. Thursday at an Old State Road residence. When deputies arrived, they located the woman who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Ravenell said the victim was airlifted to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

Investigators on the case were able to locate Weeks shortly after the shooting, Ravenell said.
