2 Columbia projects are finalists for Knight Foundation money

Two projects in Columbia are among 158 finalists nationwide for Knight Foundation grants.

The Columbia Canal greenway connector and a stormwater design project are in line for $5 million awards that will be announced in the spring.

The connector is a missing link the the Three Rivers Greenway project. The stormwater project uses rain parks to soak up rainfall runoff from buildings and paved areas.
