Richland County deputies are requesting the community’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted for kidnapping and armed robbery.
Sheriff Leon Lott said on Dec. 20, a victim was walking down the 3000 block of Broad River Road when he was approached by two male suspects. The suspects then allegedly forced the victim into a vehicle at gunpoint.
Lott said the suspects drove the victim to Tyeu Trail and Bakersfield Road where they assaulted him by beating him in upper body. They then stole the victim’s book bag, which contained his debit card and cash.
The victim was released by the suspects and was later transported by ambulance to a local hospital and treated with non life-threatening injuries, Lott said.
