SBA business recovery centers closing next week

All four Business Recovery Centers opened in South Carolina after the Oct. 4 storm will close next week, the U.S. Small Business Administration announced Wednesday.

Centers in Richland, Charleston, Horry and Sumter counties set up to provide one-on-one assistance for flood-affected business owners are to close Thursday after a “steady decrease of activity,” according to a news release.

The centers also will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Richland County center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce at 930 Richland St. Business owners may apply online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or over the phone by calling (800) 659-2955.
