UPDATE: Boil water advisory for Trenholm Road lifted
Columbia Water works announced the broken 8-inch water main on Trenholm Road has been repaired, the line flushed and water tested. The boil water advisory was lifted Friday afternoon.
PREVIOUS REPORTING:
An 8-inch water main break and efforts to repair it could affect northbound traffic on Trenholm Road, Columbia Water Works announced late Wednesday night.
Water customers on Trenholm Road from Lakeview Circle to Forest Drive, including Trenholm Plaza, are urged to vigorously boil, for at least 60 seconds, any water used to drinking, food preparation or making ice.
Anyone near the affected area who have experienced a drop in or lose of water pressure should follow the advisory’s recommendations.
Food processors and restaurants in the affected area should comply with USDA and SC DHEC recommendations, the announcement stated.
