Representatives from law enforcement gathered with some Special Olympians at the South Carolina State House on Tuesday for the statewide kick-off for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics South Carolina.

Events and competitions go on year round. But the Southeast Winter Games are set for Feb. 7-9 in Boone, N.C., in the sports of alpine skiing, cross-country snowboarding and snowshoeing.
