Richland County Sheriff’s Department announces its new, free app
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has launched a free app for smart phones which allows users to receive up-to-date crime alerts as well as submit crime tips, among other functions.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the app also offers push notifications, departmental resources, a list of the county’s most wanted, a list of deadbeat parents, commend a deputy, crime mapping and links to the department’s social media page.
“This is a way to increase the flow of important information in a timely manner,” Lott said in a statement.
Lott said he hopes the app will serve as a tool that educates, informs and updates the county’s residents on a daily basis.
You can download the app through Apple App Store for iPhones and Google Play store for Android phones.
