3 Lexington deputies recovering after crash near San Jose Restaurant
Three Lexington County deputies were hospitalized after a crash between two patrol vehicles Wednesday night.
All three are in stable condition with injuries that are not life threatening, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. The collision happened at Platt Springs Road near Old Orangeburg Road, not far from the San Jose Restaurant in that area.
Two deputies and one reserve deputy were responding to a call of a burglary in progress, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, which the Sheriff’s Department said is standard policy.
