Columbia Fire Chief Jenkins on medical leave

Columbia Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins is on medical leave as of Friday, the fire department said.

Deputy Chief Harry Tinsley will be attending to the operational needs of the Columbia Fire Department, the department said in a news release.

City officials would not comment further.
