Suspicious death reported in motel in northeast Richland County

A man has been discovered dead in a motel room in northeast Richland County in what Sheriff's Department officials are calling a suspicious death.

A man, who was not identified in a sheriff’s department news release, was non-responsive when deputies arrived at about noon Saturday at a Motel 6 at 7541 Nates Road. Further details were not immediately available.
