Richland County deputies searching for two armed robbery suspects

Richland County sheriff’s deputies are searching for two suspects after an armed robbery was reported at a restaurant on Broad River Road Monday evening, officials said.

Sheriff Leon Lott said deputies responded to The China Wall, located on 2700 Broad River Road, at 8 p.m. after receiving a call of an armed robbery at the restaurant.

Lott said when deputies arrived, they learned that a suspect entered the rear door of the business and stole the cash register, while the other suspect stood outside. The suspects then fled on foot from the scene.

Lott did not say if the suspects were carrying any weapons during the time of the incident.

The suspects are described as two black males with medium builds, Lott said. The first suspect was wearing a dark hooded jacket with a white stripe around the front and back at chest level, dark pants and dark shoes. The second suspect was wearing a green jacket, red pants, dark shoes with white laces and a ski mask.
