Richland County deputies charged a teen suspect Wednesday afternoon after she allegedly robbed a pizza restaurant at gunpoint.

Sheriff Leon Lott said deputies responded to a pizza restaurant in the 7800 block of Garners Ferry Road at 1:30 p.m. in reference to a robbery.

Lott said when deputies arrived, they learned that a female suspect entered the store, pulled a handgun from her waistband and demanded money from the store’s employee. After the victim refused to give her any money, Lott said the suspect fled from the store.

After receiving tips from citizens, Lott said deputies went to the home of 17-year-old Kayla Moore in the 1100 block of Hallbrook Drive, off Highway 76, and took her into custody.
