Richland County deputies search for suspects who hit deputy’s vehicle with stolen car

Richland County deputies are searching for two suspects Friday morning after they allegedly hit a deputy’s patrol vehicle with a stolen car, officials said.

Lt. Curtis Wilson, a department spokesman, said deputies are searching the area around Lincolnshire Drive and Saddletrail Road for the suspects.

Wilson said a patrol deputy spotted the suspects driving a vehicle that was reported stolen in Columbia. The suspects bailed out of the car, leaving it in drive, which then struck the deputy’s vehicle causing minor damage.
