Victim of Sunday morning fatal car accident identified

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified a man who was killed in a car accident on Garners Ferry Road near Lower Richland High School early Sunday morning.

The man, Charles Clinton Cobb, 24, was a passenger in a car that left the roadway and overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the car was transported to Palmetto Richland Memorial and is in serious condition.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
