University of South Carolina researchers studying last fall’s record storm want the help of elderly residents affected by it.

Researchers from USC’s Arnold School of Public Health hope to interview adults 65 years or older about their experiences during the flood, the people who might have helped them and their health at the time. The interviews would last about 30 minutes, and participants will be compensated.

The study’s findings will help communities better prepare for future disasters, USC says. Flood survivors may contact SCFACDE@mailbox.sc.edu or 803-777-5337 for more information.
