Lexington man sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor
A Lexington man is facing 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually assaulting a minor for several years, 11th Circuit Court officials said.
Donald Gene Reed, 45, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and was sentenced by Judge Frank Addy, according to Assistant Solicitor Rhonda Patterson.
Patterson said Reed assaulted the victim while the child was between the ages of eight and thirteen.
Upon completion of his sentence, Patterson said Reed will have to register as a sex offender.
