Forest Acres woman charged with shooting husband in neck
A woman has been charged with attempted murder after police say she shot her husband in the neck early Monday morning.
Prytima Michelle Evans, 29, called law enforcement herself after the shooting, Forest Acres Police Chief Gene Sealy said. Officers responded to Jamestowne Apartments on Bethel Church Road at about 5:19 a.m. and found the woman’s husband wounded.
Evans’ husband was transported to a local hospital. As of Monday morning, Sealy said the man’s condition was stable.
“He has talked to police, but he’s been shot in the neck so we can’t spend a lot of time with him,” Sealy said.
The incident started as a domestic dispute, the chief said.
Evans was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
