4 SE Richland County neighborhoods touched by boil water advisory announced Wednesday

A 12 inch water main break has prompted the city of Columbia Water Works to issue a boil water advisory touching 4 neighborhoods in southeast Richland County.

Resident on Steeplechase North and Steeplechase Court in the Ascot, Foxboro, Foxboro Hills and Foxboro Place subdivisions are urged to vigorously boil for 60 seconds any water used for drinking, making ice or food preparation before use.

The City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center, 545-3300, can answer questions about the advisory.
