Batesburg-Leesville Man charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor

A Batesburg-Leesville man has been charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

John Fleming Boineau, 33, committed a lewd act with a child under the age of 16 in December 2015, according to arrest warrants

“This investigation has lasted more than three months and is ongoing,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.

Boineau was arrested on Tuesday without incident, Koon said.

Boineau was released Thursday from the Lexington County Detention Center after posting a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
