79-year-old woman dies after crash in northeast Richland
A 79-year-old woman died Friday after her car was struck by another in a crash in northeast Richland County Thursday night.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified Shirley Scott, of Blythewood, as the victim.
Scott was wearing a seatbelt while driving when her car was struck near the 100 block of Ridgepoint Road around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Watts said. Scott died at 8:10 p.m. Friday of head trauma associated with the crash, Watts said.
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
