Lexington County adds new Public Information Officer

The County of Lexington announced the addition of a new Public Information Officer.

Harrison Cahill will disseminate press releases to the media, administer the County’s social media pages, handle Freedom of Information Act requests issued by the media and public and represent the County of Lexington in the media and public.

Harrison previously worked for the The State Newspaper, covering crime in Columbia and Richland County. He also managed The State’s social media accounts which included the company’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

Harrison, originally from Fort Mill, graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014.
