Coroner identifies woman who died in Columbia motorcycle crash

The identity of a woman who died on Friday following a traffic collision last Tuesday was released by the Richland County Coroner on Sunday.

Angela Blossom, 35, died at 2:04 p.m. Friday at an area hospital from complications of Blunt Head Trauma suffered in the crash, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said following an autopsy.

Blossom, a Columbia resident, was operating a motorcycle on Springway Drive, near Atlas Drive, when she was involved in a crash with a vehicle around 7:30 p.m., said Watts, adding it isn’t known if Blossom was wearing a helmet.

Watts said the Columbia Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
