$250,000 worth of boat motors stolen from Lake Murray dealership
LEESVILLE, SC Lexington County deputies are investigating the theft of $250,000 worth of boat motors from a marine dealership on Lake Murray.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release that suspects broke into the lot at Captain’s Choice Marine on U.S. 378 about 2:20 a.m. Sunday and stole more than a dozen Yamaha outboard motors.
Surveillance video cameras captured suspects loading motors into a white van in the dealership’s lot. Investigators are reviewing the footage to determine more information about the vehicle and suspects.
Detectives are asking anyone with security cameras near the dealership at the time to review footage between midnight and 4 a.m. Sunday for images of large, white passenger vans or other suspicious activity.
