Lexington coroner seeking next-of-kin to claim items
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is looking for family members to claim personal items of almost 40 people who died between 2006 and 2014.
The office tried to locate family members of the deceased but personal property was not returned to them for unknown reasons, according to a news release from the office.
The office released a list of names along with birth dates and death dates.
Those who are legal next-of-kin or has information about their location can call or visit the office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
People claiming to be next-of-king must have photo identification to claim items, which must be picked up in person.
The release stated information about the property will only be give out to legal next-of-kin, and the office will not answer messages concerning the items posted to its Facebook page.
