Boil water advisory issued Friday for West Columbia’s Timberland subdivision
A ruptured water line prompted the city of West Columbia to issue a boil water advisory Friday for some residents of the Timberland subdivision.
Excluded from the advisory are residents on Greatcoast Court and residents of the 100 block of Timbermill Drive. All other residents of the subdivision are urged to vigorously boil for at least 60 seconds any water used for drinking, food preparation or making ice.
Customers experiencing sediment in the water are advised to flush the water until no sediment appears and then continue to boil their water for at least one (1) full minute.
Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at ww.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on the boil water advisory.
