Water safe for Timberland subdivision residents after broken line fixed

A boil water advisory issued Friday for the entire Timberland subdivision has been lifted and customers are free to safely use their water, the city of West Columbia has announced.

The water supply has been tested and boiling water is no longer necessary, the city announced at 7:40 Saturday night. A ruptured water line prompted Friday’s advisory.

Water customers may check of West Columbia’s municipal website at www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on all boil water advisories.
