Deputies detain 2 suspects after shooting near Bluff Road

Two people are in police custody after Richland County deputies responded to a shooting near Bluff Road late Monday night.

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at Astor Street and Astor Circle just after 11 p.m., according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. They found one male victim who had been shot.

The victim was taken to Palmetto Health Richland.

Deputies detained two suspects and took them to sheriff’s department headquarters.
