Child dies in Berkeley County traffic crash

A traffic crash in Berkeley County Sunday night resulted in the death of a 5-year-old boy.

Jordan Burch, of Huger, was a passenger in the back seat of a Honda that was struck by a pick-up truck at the intersection of Highway 41 and Charity Church Road in the Huger area of Berkeley County, said Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, adding the child was restrained and pronounced dead on the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
