Video captures man stealing stacks of clothes from SC Macy’s

Surveillance video recorded an unknown man stealing stacks of shirts from a department store, and Richland County deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect stole from Macy’s at Columbia Place Mall, 7201 Two Notch Road, three different times over the span of a month, a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department stated.

Deputies believe he stole more than $600 worth of Polo shirts March 15, March 30 and Tuesday.

Each time after he stole the shirts, he fled from the business.

A video from one of the incidents shows the suspect grabbing stacks of clothes and placing them in a shopping bag.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text “TIPSC” plus the message to CRIMES (274637) or www.sccrimestoppers.com. Tips can be anonymous, and anyone with information leading to the arrest of a suspect can receive a reward of up to $1,000.
